The Center for Emerging Technologies operates a business incubator for startup biomedical and other advanced companies. Tenant companies of CET benefit from individual support, specialized facilities, shared equipment, and access to a variety of business, technological, and financial resources. As a corporate citizen, Enterprise is committed to playing a leadership role in guiding the economic health of the St. Louis region. The central corridor to St. Louis City has been identified as one of the key areas leading to the economic development of the region, and CET is responsible for much of the revitalization that is occurring within the midtown area. In addition, the biotechnology industry has been identified as one of the leading drivers in the region's economic future. Our support of this organization allows us to support targeted economic development in an industry that currently affects the region and will play a leading role in its future.

Downtown St. Louis Partnership

The Downtown St. Louis Partnership provides programs and services that benefit downtown. The Partnership organizes events and coordinates services such as downtown guides and street cleaning. The programs created and maintained by this organization bring together the businesses with the new residents and create a "neighborhood" in our inner city. These programs bring people from all over the region to see the products of revitalization, such as new restaurants, loft apartments, and retail stores. Through our membership, Enterprise supports this organization and its programs throughout the year.

FOCUS St. Louis

FOCUS St. Louis works "to create a thriving, cooperative region by engaging citizens to participate in active leadership roles and to influence positive community change." FOCUS carries out its mission by "developing leadership, influencing policy and promoting community connections." Enterprise's relationship with FOCUS is mutually beneficial for both the company and the organization. Our support of this organization helps the company educate its employees about the region and the issues that affect it. Many of our employees have become more involved in the community after participating in FOCUS programs. Support of these programs also lends credibility to an important organization that seeks to resolve key issues in the region. Our partnership with FOCUS builds our position as a leader in the community.

Grand Center

Grand Center Inc. is dedicated to enhancing the awareness of the Grand Center area and nourishing it as the cultural center of the city. The organization is responsible for spearheading the physical redevelopment of the area and furthering its establishment as the creative and cultural district of St. Louis. The Grand Center neighborhood is home to many of the region's arts organizations, including the Fox Theatre, the St. Louis Symphony, and the St. Louis Black Rep. The redevelopment of the city is dependent on its central corridor, including downtown, midtown, Grand Center, and the Central West End. The economic health of this neighborhood greatly affects the quality of life in our region. Our involvement provides key leadership to an area that is important to the citizens of St. Louis.

Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

The role of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is to develop and continuously promote the growth of the Hispanic business community for the common benefit of its constituency, its corporate partners, and the overall national economy. This organization plays a key role by bringing together Hispanic business owners and supporting their business ventures as they continue to grow. The organization also provides a central voice for the Hispanic business community in the St. Louis region. Enterprise provides business expertise to the organization and its members. The company also looks for ways to partner with growing Hispanic businesses to provide products and services to the Enterprise campuses.

NAWBO St. Louis

NAWBO St. Louis provides information and promotes collaborative relationships that help committed women business owners create and continue their business success. NAWBO's role is to actively promote the personal and professional success of women business owners in the greater St. Louis area. Enterprise works to develop relationships with women and minority business owners so that we can increase the diversity of our supplier base. Our membership in NAWBO allows us to make and develop these contacts. It also allows us to form relationships with key community members involved with women-owned businesses.

RCGA

The St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA) is the chamber of commerce and economic development organization for theSt. Louis bi-state region. The RCGA represents the 16-county region spanning both Missouri and Illinois. The organization works to unite the region's business community and to enhance the overall quality of life for the citizens of the region. Enterprise officers serve on the board of directors and on committees to ensure that the company's point of view is represented and that our economic expertise is shared for the benefit of the community.

The St. Louis Minority Business Council focuses on creating partnerships between the local business community and the minority-owned businesses throughout the region. The SLMBC provides growth opportunities, financial support, and training and education for its corporate members and for minority businesses. Enterprise provides financial support for many of the SLMBC's programs throughout the year. In addition, our employees work directly with the SLMBC staff and local minority businesses. By partnering with this organization, Enterprise has been able to create lasting relationships with local vendors who provide products and services to the company.

St. Louis Sports Commission

The role of the St. Louis Sports Commission is to generate economic benefit and enhanced quality of life in the St. Louis region through sporting events, national promotion, local awareness, amateur sports development, and youth programs. The organization "is responsible for producing a diverse lineup of high-profile events that excite area sports fans, create revenue for the region and generate positive exposure for St. Louis." Bringing national sporting events to the St. Louis region has proved to be a great way to market St. Louis to the rest of the nation and to stimulate economic development. In our role as corporate citizen, Enterprise supports organizations that provide leadership in the area of economic development.
