Enterprise is committed to creating and maintaining a diverse work force, working with minority-and women-owned businesses, and attracting a diverse customer base. Our support of organizations that promote diversity helps us meet community leaders and business partners who help us further these goals.
Anti-Defamation League

The immediate goal of the Anti-Defamation League is to stop the defamation of the Jewish people. The ultimate purpose of the organization is "to secure justice and fair treatment to all citizens alike and to put an end forever to unjust and unfair discrimination against and ridicule of any sect or body of citizens." Enterprise supports the mission of this organization as part of its commitment to diversity.
International Institute

The International Institute strengthens the St. Louis community by helping immigrants and their families become secure and successful Americans and by promoting the value of ethnic diversity in the social, cultural, and economic life of the region. For 85 years, the St. Louis International Institute has been providing education, employment and counseling services to each new wave of immigrants. As Enterprise employees continue to become more diverse, we continue to reach out to organizations working with diverse populations. They help us understand the issues and the needs affecting new immigrants, and they also help us understand how to better reach them as employees and customers.
National Conference for Community and Justice

The National Conference for Community and Justice's mission is to battle bias, bigotry, racism, and all forms of oppression in St. Louis and to strengthen leaders' ability to build inclusion into the key institutions of our region. The NCCJSTL is a human relations organization that "promotes understanding and respect among all races, religions and cultures through advocacy, conflict resolution and education." Enterprise supports the mission of this organization as part of its commitment to diversity.
Professional Organization of Women

The Professional Organization of Women serves as a catalyst for career, community, and social enrichment for African-American professional women in the St. Louis region. POW strives "to facilitate open communication" among "African-American women, other ethnic minority professionals, established executives and senior professionals in the region through workshops, community partnerships and networking." "Members share a vision and commitment to enrich the professional, social and community aspirations of African-American women in entry- and midlevel management positions." The organization currently has approximately 75 members. Our desire to attract and maintain a diverse work force in St. Louis is furthered by our interaction and participation with POW as we develop new relationships with professional women.
St. Louis Black Leadership Roundtable

The St. Louis Black Leadership Roundtable seeks "to improve the quality of life for African-Americans in the St. Louis metropolitan region." The organization furthers its mission "by initiating appropriate action to bring about effective, targeted change based on a focused agenda carried out through dialogue, catalytic partnerships and direct action." The organiztion's five areas of focus are education, economic development, healthcare, voter awareness and social justice. Enterprise supports the mission of this organization as part of its commitment to diversity.
St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative

The St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative works "to provide strategies to the overall business community that create inclusion in the work force for talented minorities." It's mission is to create a more welcoming and successful environment for minorities at all levels of business. The SLBDI is "a collaborative effort to help companies and firms in the St. Louis region be better-positioned to attract and retain a talented, diverse workforce." The organization plays a key role in sharing with local companies the best-practice models for corporate diversity. It also serves as a facilitator in bringing these companies together to discuss methods that work. As Enterprise continues to focus on attracting and maintaining a diverse work force, the SLBDI serves as an important resource for the company.
Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis strives "to empower African-Americans and others throughout the region in securing economic self-reliance, social equality and civil rights." The UL is "the catalyst for this change through advocacy, coalition-building, program services and by promoting communication and understanding among different races and cultures." The organization offers programs in the areas of employment, community outreach, education, housing, cultural enrichment, and youth development. Andy Taylor serves on the board of directors for the National Urban League. The Urban League is a key community partner with Enterprise. The company supports the organization's programs and provides expertise on the board of directors and on committees.
